Our office phones are answered 24/7. If you need to cancel a scheduled appointment, please give us as much notice as possible ( preferably a day) so that patients on our waiting list can be moved into your vacated time.
Please arrive at our office a little before your scheduled time to fill out paperwork, etc. Sometimes arriving earlier results in getting out earlier and may give you more time to get your questions answered and/or issues resolved.
Be sure to bring a photo ID, insurance card, and any information from your PCP or other managing physicians, including lab/X-ray results. Remember to bring a check, credit card, or cash to satisfy your office co-pay prior to being seen. Routine post-operative care will generally not generate a charge.
Outside of our usual office hours 9 AM - 5 PM Mon thru Fri, please allow our answering service to assist you. Either Dr. Hollis or his Bariatric Nurse Practitioner (Beth Kramer) will be paged for urgent calls.
If you have an emergency, please tell the answering service. However, do not wait on a return call for a true emergency; instead, call 911 or proceed to the nearest Emergency Room. Be sure to give the ER our name and have them call us for necessary information or consultation.
Please be sure to keep your (PCP) Primary Care Physician informed throughout the entire process and allow him/her to participate in whatever way they can to make sure that YOU get complete and continuous peri-operative care.
Please take advantage of the email contact option for routine requests. This will save you time and is usually more efficient. However, if you don't receive a timely reply, we apologize in advance. By all means, call the office if you need something sooner than email processing will allow.
